Influenced by the sculptural traditions of the Makonde people of East Africa, this piece abstracts the human form into a continuous, flowing structure that emphasises connection over individuality. The intertwined figures, bound through a single rhythmic form, reflect themes of unity, interdependence, and collective strength. Unlike classical figurative carving, the simplified heads and elongated limbs shift focus from identity to relationship — the space between forms becoming as significant as the figures themselves.
